As a reputable fitted furniture and kitchens manufacturer, we believe in transparency and always aim to provide as much as possible information about our service and processes upfront, in order to help customers, manage time frames and create peace of mind before confirming their Bespoke Fitted Furniture order with us. Some of the basic information that most of our customers want to know before confirming their fitted furniture order with us.

To make information more readily available, we have compiled a list of some frequently asked questions and answers.  If there is anything else that you would like to ask, please feel free to contact us and we will be happy to assist.

How do you work/where do we start?

We ask customers to visit our showroom in Weybridge first so that they can see the quality of our work and last range of specialist appliances, products and finishes for their project. discuss their requirements and, time frames and ideas, in order for us to provide a guided estimate.  This visit to our showroom helps customers to really see what we can offer in terms of knowledge, finish and experience in the manufacturing of fitted furniture.  We’ve had many people refer to us as the best kept secret in Weybridge and have found that we really do accommodate a wide range of budgets.

How quickly can I expect to see the design and quotation?

Once we have provided you with an initial ballpark figure and confirm that this suits your budget, we can then come and measure and provide you with a more accurate estimate and design according to your specification. We don’t charge a design fee, however we do not email our designs and this remains the intellectual property of Finewood Interiors.

What is included in the design service?

We will present 3D Drawings to you in person at our showroom, to help you with the visualization of your new kitchen layout and finish. You can see an example of what our design illustration looks like here. The final measurements will be undertaken by Andrew and signed off for accuracy prior to manufacturing.  You will also receive a contract, specifying the exact details of your chosen finishes, appliances and commencement of work.

Can we agree a fitting date in advance if it is a building site?

Yes, we prefer to have a fitting date scheduled in advance in order to make sure that we can accommodate the date and that it will fit in with other works to be completed prior to final measurements.

Do you fit the kitchen yourself or do you outsource the fitting to another company?

Finewood Interiors undertake all work from initial concept design through to fitting.  We have our own dedicated fitting team and do not outsource the fitting.

Will you be able to advise me on appliances and Brands?

Yes, having been in the kitchen industry for over 35 years, we are able to advise you on the different options available for your appliance needs and the best brands available. Finewood Interiors have access to specialist appliance suppliers, and are sure to find the best suited to your needs.

Material costs and Appliance availability seems to be fluctuating at the moment, are you able to fix the price?

At the point at which you are prepared to pay your deposit, and depending on how far in advance we are booking your installation date, we are happy to fix the price for you, however in the period of time between deposit and delivery, if prices fluctuate, we may need to purchase appliances sooner than normal, given the longer lead times.  We will discuss this individually when we are made aware of the fluctuation or shortage of appliances.

What is the lead time for manufacturing my kitchen?

The average lead time for installation of the cabinetry is generally 8 to 10 weeks from when your design is agreed and a deposit payment have been received.

Can you replace doors and worktops only on my existing kitchen?

If it is possible to do so, then we can, however sometimes it might be the unique opportunity to put right the functionality of the kitchen entirely.

What lighting do you use as standard under kitchen cabinets?

We use mainly a LED strip in either a warm, or daylight in colour choice, depending on the colour scheme of the kitchen. RGB lighting are also an option.

What are the carcass cupboards made of?

There are many options available for the finish of the interior to the cabinets, from plain white to textured, painted, veneer and specialist finishes.  When you visit our showroom in Weybridge,  you will be able to see a variety of internal finishes available.

What are your payment terms?

Typically 50 percent deposit, 45 percent on delivery and 5 percent on completion. We also offer a finance option which you can get more information about here.

What worktop samples do you have available at you showroom?

We have direct accounts with many leading brands such as Ceaserstone, Silestone, Cilstone, Okite, Dekton, Unistone to name a few. We also do inhouse fabrication for corian and Hanex. Specialist stainless steel and Spekva bespoke wooden work surfaces. We are confident that you will be able to find a worktop to suit your new kitchen.
