Frequent Questions

Fitted furniture Frequent questions

We believe in making information more readily available and hope to answer some of your initial questions regarding fitted wardrobes, walk in dressing rooms and bedroom furniture below:

My bedroom layout needs a completely bespoke wardrobe design and installation, how can you help with this?

We do manufacturer all of our fitted furniture to the millimetre and design your wardrobe size and layout, to give you maximum storage and ease of use.  There are no restricted height or width limitations (subject to material sizes available) and we can design and fit your wardrobes into alcoves or come up with a solution to incorporate your sloped ceilings.

Where do we start? Do you come out to take measurements?

We encourage you to bring/email an image of the room layout with approximate sizes before or when you visit our Weybridge showroom to discuss your thoughts and requirements. We will then give you a guideline estimate based on finish and layout discussed, and if you are happy with the estimate, we will produce a 3d design of your room layout for you to better visualise the concept, storage solutions and improved use of space.  Whiles we are happy to have multiple meetings as required to achieve the final design, a financial commitment is required for the designs to leave the showroom and arrange a survey.

When can I expect to hear back from you with an estimate of cost?

We endeavour to get back to customers as soon as possible but depending on the number of bedrooms, a good guidance would be ideally within 2 weeks.

Do I need to visit your showroom?

Yes, where possible. However, we have done various projects for customers all over the world where they have been unable to visit the showroom. It would be beneficial if you could visit our Weybridge showroom to come and see the different finishes available and the quality of our fitted furniture.

Do you design and fit corner wardrobes?

Yes, we can and we can suggest various solutions to make the most efficient use out of the available space.

Do you fit the new wardrobes on top of the existing carpet or do I need to get it removed first?

We can install your fitted wardrobes on top of the existing carpet and the skirting can be left in place.  However, we do prefer to install it directly onto the floor.

Do you fit the wardrobes with a back panel?

Yes, we install fitted wardrobes with a back panel to provide greater strength to the carcass and to create a better quality finish to the overall internal style of the wardrobes.

What can you do, if my walls and floors are not level?

We oversize the end panels and trims, which will be cut on site to compensate of the irregularities of the walls and/or floors. The carcass will be fitted level as standard and the difference will be filled in with an infill panel to optimise the overall design and to provide you with a rigid, stable fitted wardrobe.

Can you supply pull down rails in wardrobes?

Yes, we can supply pull down rails and recommend them where the wardrobes are very high. This will form part of the discussion at the design consultation.

Are all the doors soft closing?

Yes, as standard all our door hinges and drawer runners are soft close, with the exception of touch to open doors/drawers which have to be pressed closed by the user.

What type of Timber do you use?

We are not restricted to any timber choice, the only restriction is availability and we like to use timbers with interesting grain character, as we prefer to select our grain match as much as possible.

Can you take the wardrobes right up to the ceiling?

If there is coving in the room, we take the unit to the underside and add an infill panel in, to fill the gap. Even without coving, we require a tolerance for levelling at finish; therefore there will still be a small panel at the top. During the survey these options will be discussed.

Do you offer accessory drawers?

Yes, we do and they can either be fixed in or removable or divided as per your requirements.

Can you install lighting in my wardrobes?

Yes, there are a number of lighting options available today, some of which are rechargeable via USB which is ideal when a power source is not available. If there is no available power socket, we can check where a power source can be achieved during the survey.

Are the shelves adjustable?

As standard, all our shelving is adjustable, however if you require, or if they have integral lighting, they will be fixed.

What cable management solutions do you have in my newly fitted dressing table/ fitted study for the desk space?

We can supply and fit cable management ports in the work surface at your desired positions, which allow you to use the existing wall sockets. However, we can also supply and fit surface mounted extension leads which include power sockets and USB ports.

Can you replace only the doors on my wardrobes?

Most of the time the existing carcase structure isn’t suitable for door replacement and might compromise the weight limits on the frame work. But on some larger projects it might be possible. But if this is possible and achievable, we will be happy to do it.

What is the lead time for manufacturing?

The average lead time for installation is 8 – 10 weeks from when your design is agreed and a deposit payment have been received.

How many days will you need to fit my new fitted furniture?

Usually 1 -2 days per bedroom, but it depends on the number of wardrobes/bedrooms.
